Walk-A-Thon

Every Fall, Live Oak Preschool hosts a Walk-A-Thon as a way to raise money from outside sources to support our school. Our Walk-A-thon has looked a little different the past couple of years; The staff sets up an exciting obstacle course for the students to run through during their school day.  The students are all treated to a special cupcake at the end of their participation.

In the weeks preceding this event, we encourage Live Oak families to seek donations from friends, family members, and others. These donations are flat-fee; the idea is simply to get outsiders involved.

Dinner Dance Auction

Without question, Live Oak's biggest fundraiser of the year is our annual Dinner Dance Auction (DDA). The name of the DDA says it all--the event combines dinner, dancing, and an auction from which all proceeds benefit our school. The DDA actually features two separate auctions: a silent auction, during which many products from our local community are available for bidding; and a live auction, during which attendees can raise paddles for family vacations, autographed memorabilia, and more. We also always incorporate a paddle-raise that represents a direct plea for donations to support our tuition assistance program.
